It Goes On

"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." I've recently come across this quote by Robert Frost and I'm just going to put this simply: it's awesome.

Yes. I'm one of those annoying people who loves to look up quotes and live my life by them, or so I would like to believe that's what I do. Sorry if this is a spoiler to anyone but quotes aren't going anywhere. They are all around us so if your not really a believer in them, you're just going to have to get over it.

I'm a huge believer in quotes but not just any quote, only the really good ones, the ones that apply to my life and speak to me about what I'm going through. This is the same for everybody. When we don't know where to turn or how to handle something we look towards quotes.

When I give people advice, (and believe me, I love giving people advice)  I always search the ripples of my brain to dig up some quote that will somehow lead to this epiphany for them and maybe they'll say, "damn, you're really smart Leslie". That's really satisfying to me because it's like I'm on stage in front of thousands of people and I just got done performing my famous rendition of "My Heart Will Go On" and everyone is chanting my name.Yeah that would be pretty cool.

But I'm getting away from the point. Because that's the whole point of blogging right? To have a point.

Well, here's mine: I want to blog because it looks like fun and I've tried it before but I never really got into it. However, I think that it's worth it because it gives you some sort of release. It's like talking to your best friend about all your problems or just chatting for a few seconds to tell them about some revelation you had today. It's a way to get out there what you want to say. Maybe someone will read it. Maybe they won't but I don't really care because I'm going to do it anyway.

There is no set road or topic for this blog really. It's just life because I think that that is worth talking about. I'm not going to give you life lessons or anything because I can't tell you how to live your life. I don't think anyone can tell you how to live your life but I do think that Robert was right when he said that it goes on.
